Baumgartner Announces Winners of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition
WASHINGTON- Today, Congressman Michael Baumgartner (WA-05) announced the winners of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition.
“I’m proud to highlight the remarkable creativity and talent flourishing in Eastern Washington,” said Congressman Baumgartner. “The future leaders and creative minds of Eastern Washington are already making a profound impact on our community through their work. It’s an honor to display their pieces in the U.S. Capitol and in my offices in D.C. and at home.”
Grand Prize: Joslyn Rubio, a sophomore at TECH at Bryant, for her stunning graphite and colored pencil artwork, “Faithful Servant.” This piece will be proudly displayed in the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol.

1st Place: Elise Lombardi, a senior at University High School, for her captivating graphite and colored pencil piece, “Play in Action.” Her artwork will be showcased in the Congressman’s Washington, D.C. office.

2nd Place: Wyatte Spuler, a freshman at University High School, her beautiful watercolor piece, “Whispers on the Pond.” Her artwork will be featured in the Congressman’s Spokane Office.
