It’s really bugging me that Idaho (with a less than 3% unemployment rate and $1 cheaper gas) has a so much better booth than the sad and empty Washington (+5% unemployment and businesses leaving) because our Democrat Governor choose not to participate in celebrating America! WA is a wonderful state! We should be celebrating and putting our best foot forward to attract biz and innovators. Not only are Gov Ferguson’s actions petty and unpatriotic, they are foolish and dumb for a state that is quickly growing a reputation as one of the worst in the country for small business friendliness due to left-wing socialist views of state and local policy makers. It’s not too late for Gov Ferguson to do the right thing – he should drop the partisan nonsense and personally come out to The Great American State Fair in DC on the 4th of July and man the Washington booth to celebrate our great country and our state. 🇺🇸

It’s unfortunate that my Democrat Governor of Washington state put politics over celebrating our wonderful America’s 250th birthday celebration, but I was happy to spend a little time personally manning the nearly empty state of Washington booth and there is a whole lot of other fun stuff at The Great American State Fair! Come check it out! 🇺🇸

Unfortunately Governor Bob Ferguson chose NOT to have Washington State officially participate in THE GREAT AMERICAN STATE FAIR, but I couldn’t let this stand, so I came down to man the nearly empty booth and show that not everyone in our state puts politics before celebrating our country. Fun to stamp the “passports” – as long as everyone said “Go Seahawks.” 🇺🇸

I’m proud to accept The Club for Growth’s Defender of Economic Freedom Award for fighting for policies that advance limited government and prosperity. For 250 years, free market capitalism has been the engine of American Greatness. 🇺🇸

A busy Monday morning began at Fairchild Air Force Base where I attended the change of command, recognizing the outgoing Commander of the 92nd Air Refueling Wing Commander, Col. Chad Cisiewski, and Fairchild's new commander, Col. Brian Epperson. It was a great opportunity to witness the outstanding achievements of Team Fairchild under Col. Cisewski's leadership and the weight of the responsibility Col. Epperson takes on at the head of the world's largest air refueling wing. I also had the chance to speak with the Commander of Fairchild's parent unit, the 18th Air Force, Major General Charles Bolton.
After attending this ceremony, I met with the good people at Ag West Farm Credit, who together organized a great couple of meetings for us at their corporate office near Airway Heights on Monday. A huge thank you to Chair of the Agriculture Committee, GT Thompson, for joining me and local farmers to celebrate and discuss the House's passage of the Farm Bill.
I’d also like to share my time meeting and catching up with City of Airway Heights administrators, elected officials, and Police and Fire. Together, we took a look at the progress they're making to grow municipal services in this rapidly growing portion of Spokane County. We discussed the status of Airway Heights’ federal appropriations request and other opportunities to partner in support of all of the good things happening in this city.
