Rep. Baumgartner Returns Home For a Busy Week Serving The People Of Eastern Washington

January 27, 2025

WASHINGTON- Rep. Baumgartner is returning to Eastern Washington for a week packed with town hall meetings, visits to key government facilities, and discussions with community leaders from across the region.

On Tuesday, January 28, Rep. Baumgartner will kick off his day in Walla Walla with a ‘Board Meeting with my Bosses’ town hall event at Hot Mama’s Espresso (1447 W. Pine St.) from 8:30-9:30 AM. These town hall meetings are open to the public, and local media outlets are invited to attend.

Rep. Baumgartner will then visit Whitman College, where he will meet with President Sarah Bolton and engage with students on topics such as politics, economics, international affairs, and higher education concerns.

Next, Rep. Baumgartner will attend the Economic Development Information Meeting hosted by the Port of Walla Walla. A strong advocate for infrastructure development, Rep. Baumgartner looks forward to collaborating with regional economic stakeholders to build on recent successes, including the recent $108.5 million award to Walla Walla County to complete the final section of Highway 12.

On Wednesday, January 29, Rep. Baumgartner will head to Rockford for another town hall, this one focused on agricultural issues. The ‘Agriculture Roundtable’ will be held at Harvest Moon Restaurant (20 S. 1st St., Rockford, WA 99030) from 8:30-9:30 AM. The public and media are invited to attend.

On Monday, February 3, Rep. Baumgartner will travel to Colville for a full day of meetings. He will visit the Colville National Forest and meet with the director and staff of the U.S. Forest Service to review ongoing operations and discuss the national crisis in forest management.

Afterward, Rep. Baumgartner will visit the Colville office of the U.S. Border Patrol to discuss border security operations. The recent tragic death of a Border Patrol agent in Vermont has raised concerns about the safety of those working to secure our borders, emphasizing the importance of border security as a vital national interest. Border security at both the northern and southern borders remains a top priority for Rep. Baumgartner.

Rep. Baumgartner will then hold another town hall at the HUB Senior Center (231 W. Elep St., Colville, WA 99114) from 12:30-1:30 PM, open to the public and media.
